 Consolidated Fiber is making every attempt to perform work without going into homes or small businesses. Our team has successfully implemented a self-install procedure and is happy to report we have maintained business as usual in doing so. Service technicians still arrive on-site at a scheduled time, maintain a safe distance, deliver your equipment, and then walk members through the setup over the phone to easily set up devices and activate services. 
 We are all in this together, and together, we are stronger!

Residential Broadband Planning Update

Thank you for using Consolidated Electric’s Crowd Fiber form to express your opinions regarding Fiber to The Home (FTTH).  We have received a lot of great feedback and have been fielding many questions regarding when FTTH will be available, how much will it cost, and what services will be offered.  While we really don’t have firm answers to these questions available today, we can let you know we are working diligently to get these answers for you. 

We are still in the process of completing our business plan to present to the board of directors for their guidance. As you can imagine, there are a lot of moving parts to starting a business of this magnitude.  If CEC enters the residential broadband business, we want to make sure we’re able to provide the best possible Internet service, at an affordable price point for each of you, and at the same level of customer-focused service you expect from our electric and gas services.  

We anticipate presenting our business plan to the board during their July meeting and hope to have a direction from them by the end of August.  These dates are not firm and could move, but today these are our target dates. We will be able to start answering questions once we have direction from the board. We understand quality high-speed Internet service has become a necessity for most homes and businesses and want to make sure we are prepared to ‘get it right’ for you, if and when we have full support and a clear business plan for success.

 Thank you for your patience as we continue the preparation and formalization of your business plan.  We hope to have very positive news within the next 60 to 90 days.
